(nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:4 ============ Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,(KJV) Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible that they which were once lightened, & haue tasted of the heauenly gift, and were made partakers of the holy Ghost,(Geneva) Hébreux 6:4 Car il est impossible que ceux qui ont été une fois éclairés, qui ont goûté le don céleste, qui ont eu part au Saint-Esprit,(FR) כִּי אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר כְּבָר אֹרוּ עֵינֵיהֶם וַיִּטְעֲמוּ אֶת־מַתַּת שָׁמַיִם וְרוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ הָיְתָה לִמְנָת חֶלְקָם׃ ד Hebrews Heb 6:4 For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:5 ============ Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,(KJV) Hebrews 6:5 And haue tasted of the good word of God, and of the powers of the world to come,(Geneva) Hébreux 6:5 qui ont goûté la bonne parole de Dieu et les puissances du siècle à venir,(FR) וַיִּטְעֲמוּ אֶת־דְּבַר אֱלֹהִים הַטּוֹב וְאֶת־נִפְלְאוֹת הָעוֹלָם הֶעָתִיד׃ ה Hebrews Heb 6:5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:6 ============ Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.(KJV) Hebrews 6:6 If they fal away, should be renued againe by repentance: seeing they crucifie againe to themselues the Sonne of God, & make a mocke of him.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:6 et qui sont tombés, soient encore renouvelés et amenés à la repentance, puisqu'ils crucifient pour leur part le Fils de Dieu et l'exposent à l'ignominie.(FR) וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן סֹרֲרוּ לֹא יִתָּכֵן לָהֶם עוֹד לְהִתְחַדֵּשׁ וְלָשׁוּב כִּי הִצְלִיבוּ לָהֶם מֵחָדָשׁ אֶת־בֶּן־הָאֱלֹהִים וַיּשִׂימוּ אוֹתוֹ לְחֶרְפָּה׃ ו Hebrews Heb 6:6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:7 ============ Heb 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:(KJV) Hebrews 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the raine that commeth oft vpon it, and bringeth foorth herbes meete for them by whome it is dressed, receiueth blessing of God.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:7 Lorsqu'une terre est abreuvée par la pluie qui tombe souvent sur elle, et qu'elle produit une herbe utile à ceux pour qui elle est cultivée, elle participe à la bénédiction de Dieu;(FR) כִּי הָאָרֶץ הַשֹּׁתָה אֶת־הַגֶּשֶׁם אֲשֶׁר הִרְוָה אֹתָהּ כְּפַעַם בְּפַעַם וְתֵלֵד זֶרַע טוֹב לַזֹּרֵעַ תִּשָּׂא בְרָכָה מֵאֵת הָאֱלֹהִים׃ ז Hebrews Heb 6:7 For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:8 ============ Heb 6:8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.(KJV) Hebrews 6:8 But that which beareth thornes and briars, is reproued, and is neere vnto cursing, whose end is to be burned.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:8 mais, si elle produit des épines et des chardons, elle est réprouvée et près d'être maudite, et on finit par y mettre le feu.(FR) וְכִי־תַצְמִיחַ קוֹץ וְדַרְדַּר אֵין חֵפֶץ בָּהּ צְפוּיָה הִיא אֱלֵי־מְאֵרָה וְאַחֲרִיתָהּ לְבָעֵר׃ ח Hebrews Heb 6:8 but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:9 ============ Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.(KJV) Hebrews 6:9 But beloued, we haue perswaded our selues better things of you, and such as accompany saluation, though we thus speake.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:9 Quoique nous parlions ainsi, bien-aimés, nous attendons, pour ce qui vous concerne, des choses meilleures et favorables au salut.(FR) אָמֵן הוֹחַלְנוּ יְדִידִים כִּי דְבָרִים טוֹבִים מֵאֵלֶּ נִמְצָאִים בָּכֶם דְּבָרִים צְפוּיִם אֱלֵי־יְשׁוּעָה אַף כִּי־כָזֹאת דִּבַּרְנוּ׃ ט Hebrews Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking in this way. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:10 ============ Heb 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.(KJV) Hebrews 6:10 For God is not vnrighteous, that hee should forget your worke, and labour of loue, which ye shewed toward his Name, in that ye haue ministred vnto the Saints, and yet minister.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:10 Car Dieu n'est pas injuste, pour oublier votre travail et l'amour que vous avez montré pour son nom, ayant rendu et rendant encore des services aux saints.(FR) כִּי לֹא יְעַוֵּל הָאֱלֹהִים וְלֹא יִשְׁכַּח אֶת־מַעֲשֵׂיכֶם וְאֶת־הָאַהֲבָה אֲשֶׁר הֶרְאֵיתֶם לִשְׁמוֹ סֹמְכִים הֱיִיתֶם לִקְדשָׁיו וְעוֹדְכֶם כֵּן גַּם־הַיּוֹם׃ י Hebrews Heb 6:10 For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:11 ============ Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:(KJV) Hebrews 6:11 And we desire that euery one of you shew the same diligence, to the full assurance of hope vnto the ende,(Geneva) Hébreux 6:11 Nous désirons que chacun de vous montre le même zèle pour conserver jusqu'à la fin une pleine espérance,(FR) וְחֶפְצֵנוּ כִּי אִישׁ אִישׁ מִכֶּם יִוָּדַע מִמְּגַמַּת עֲמָלוֹ כִּי תִקְוָתוֹ נֶאֱמָנָה עַד־הַקֵּץ׃ יא Hebrews Heb 6:11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:12 ============ Heb 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.(KJV) Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slouthfull, but followers of them, which through faith and patience, inherite the promises.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:12 en sorte que vous ne vous relâchiez point, et que vous imitiez ceux qui, par la foi et la persévérance, héritent des promesses.(FR) וְלֹא תִהְיוּ עֲצֵלִים כִּי אִם־תֵּלְכוּן בְּעִקְּבוֹת אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר בֶּאֱמוּנָתָם וְאֹרֶךְ רוּחָם יָרְשׁוּ אֶת־הַהַבְטָחוֹת׃ יב Hebrews Heb 6:12 so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:13 ============ Heb 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,(KJV) Hebrews 6:13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, because he had no greater to sweare by, he sware by himselfe,(Geneva) Hébreux 6:13 Lorsque Dieu fit la promesse à Abraham, ne pouvant jurer par un plus grand que lui, il jura par lui-même,(FR) כִּי כַאֲשֶׁר הִבְטִיחַ אֱלֹהִים אֶת־אַבְרָהָם וְאֵין גָּדוֹל מִמֶּנּוּ לְהִשָּׁבַע בּוֹ נִשְׁבַּע בְּנַפְשׁוֹ׃ יג Hebrews Heb 6:13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:14 ============ Heb 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.(KJV) Hebrews 6:14 Saying, Surely I wil aboundantly blesse thee and multiplie thee marueilously.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:14 et dit: Certainement je te bénirai et je multiplierai ta postérité.(FR) וַיֹּאמַר כִּי־בָרֵךְ אֲבָרֶכְךָ וְהַרְבָּה אַרְבֶּה אוֹתָךְ׃ יד Hebrews Heb 6:14 saying, "I WILL SURELY BLESS YOU AND I WILL SURELY MULTIPLY YOU."(nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:15 ============ Heb 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.(KJV) Hebrews 6:15 And so after that he had taried patiently, he enioyed the promes.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:15 Et c'est ainsi qu'Abraham, ayant persévéré, obtint l'effet de la promesse.(FR) וּבְכֵן הוֹחִיל בְּאֹרֶךְ רוּחוֹ וַיִּנְחַל אֶת־הַהַבְטָחָה׃ טו Hebrews Heb 6:15 And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:16 ============ Heb 6:16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.(KJV) Hebrews 6:16 For men verely sweare by him that is greater then themselues, and an othe for confirmation is among them an ende of all strife.(Geneva) Hébreux 6:16 Or les hommes jurent par celui qui est plus grand qu'eux, et le serment est une garantie qui met fin à tous leurs différends.(FR) כִּי אָמְנָם אֲנָשִׁים נִשְׁבָּעִים בְּגָדוֹל מֵהֶם וְתֹקֶף הַשְּׁבוּעָה יָבִיא קֵץ לְכָל־רִיב בֵּינֵיהֶם׃ טז Hebrews Heb 6:16 For men swear by one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:17 ============ Heb 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:(KJV) Hebrews 6:17 So God, willing more aboundantly to shew vnto the heires of promes the stablenes of his counsell, bound himselfe by an othe,(Geneva) Hébreux 6:17 C'est pourquoi Dieu, voulant montrer avec plus d'évidence aux héritiers de la promesse l'immutabilité de sa résolution, intervint par un serment,(FR) וְכֵן כַּאֲשֶׁר חָפֵץ הָאֱלֹהִים בְּכָל־תֹּקֶף לְהַרְאוֹת אֶת־יוֹרְשֵׁי הַהַבְטָחָה כִּי עֲצָתוֹ אֵין לְהָשִׁיב עָרַב לִפְנֵיהֶם בִּשְׁבוּעָתוֹ׃ יז Hebrews Heb 6:17 In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, (nasb) ======= Hebrews 6:18 ============ Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:(KJV) Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, wherein it is vnpossible that God should lye, we might haue strong consolation, which haue our refuge to lay holde vpon that hope that is set before vs,(Geneva) Hébreux 6:18 afin que, par deux choses immuables, dans lesquelles il est impossible que Dieu mente, nous trouvions un puissant encouragement, nous dont le seul refuge a été de saisir l'espérance qui nous était proposée.(FR) וּבִשְׁתֵּי אֲמָרוֹת אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר אֵין חֲלִיפוֹת לָהֵן מִבִּלְתִּי יְכֹלֶת הָאֱלֹהִים לְכַזֵּב נִמְצָא לָנוּ נֹחַם־עֹז הַמְמַלְּטִים אֶת־נַפְשֵׁנוּ לְהַחֲזִיק בַּתִּקְוָה הָעֲרוּכָה לְפָנֵינוּ׃ יח Hebrews Heb 6:18 so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.
