He takes away the first in order to establish the second. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 10:26 ============ Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,(KJV) Hebrews 10:26 For if we sinne willingly after that we haue receiued & acknowledged that trueth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sinnes,(Geneva) Hébreux 10:26 Car, si nous péchons volontairement après avoir reçu la connaissance de la vérité, il ne reste plus de sacrifice pour les péchés,(FR) כִּי אִם־נֶחְטָא בְזָדוֹן אַחֲרֵי אֲשֶׁר קָנִינוּ דַעַת הָאֱמֶת לֹא־יִשָּׁאֶר עוֹד קָרְבָּן עַל־חַטָּאתֵנוּ׃ כו Hebrews Heb 10:26 For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, (nasb) ======= Hebrews 10:27 ============ Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.(KJV) Hebrews 10:27 But a fearefull looking for of iudgement, and violent fire, which shall deuoure the aduersaries.(Geneva) Hébreux 10:27 mais une attente terrible du jugement et l'ardeur d'un feu qui dévorera les rebelles.(FR) כִּי אִם־מָגוֹר מִפְּנֵי מִשְׁפָּט הַצָּפוּי וְאֵשׁ קִנְאָה אֲשֶׁר תֹּאכַל צָרִים׃ כז Hebrews Heb 10:27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES. (nasb) ======= Hebrews 10:29 ============ Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?(KJV) Hebrews 10:29 Of howe much sorer punishment suppose ye shall hee be worthy, which treadeth vnder foote the Sonne of God, and counteth the blood of the Testament as an vnholy thing, wherewith he was sanctified, and doeth despite the Spirit of grace?(Geneva) Hébreux 10:29 de quel pire châtiment pensez-vous que sera jugé digne celui qui aura foulé aux pieds le Fils de Dieu, qui aura tenu pour profane le sang de l'alliance, par lequel il a été sanctifié, et qui aura outragé l'Esprit de la grâce?(FR) הִתְבּוֹנְנוּ־נָא מַה־נּוֹרָא הָעֹנֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר יוּשַׁת עַל־רֹמֵס בֶּן־אֱלֹהִים וּמְטַמֵּא דַם בְּרִית אֲשֶׁר נִקְדַּשׁ בּוֹ וּמְגַדֵּף רוּחַ נְדִיבָה׃ כט Hebrews Heb 10:29 How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? (nasb) ======= Hebrews 10:30 ============ Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.
