Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud and is about to come to Egypt; The idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, And the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:3 ============ Isa 19:3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.(KJV) Isaiah 19:3 And the spirite of Egypt shall faile in the middes of her, and I will destroy their counsell, and they shall seeke at the idoles, and at the sorcerers, and at them that haue spirits of diuination, and at the southsayers.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:3 L'esprit de l'Egypte disparaîtra du milieu d'elle, Et j'anéantirai son conseil; On consultera les idoles et les enchanteurs, Ceux qui évoquent les morts et ceux qui prédisent l'avenir.(FR) 3 ׃19 וְנָבְקָ֤ה רֽוּחַ־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ וַעֲצָת֖וֹ אֲבַלֵּ֑עַ וְדָרְשׁ֤וּ אֶל־הָֽאֱלִילִים֙ וְאֶל־הָ֣אִטִּ֔ים וְאֶל־הָאֹב֖וֹת וְאֶל־הַיִּדְּעֹנִֽים׃ Isaiah Isa 19:3 "Then the spirit of the Egyptians will be demoralized within them; And I will confound their strategy, So that they will resort to idols and ghosts of the dead And to mediums and spiritists. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:4 ============ Isa 19:4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.(KJV) Isaiah 19:4 And I will deliuer the Egyptians into the hand of the cruell Lordes, & a mightie King shall rule ouer them, sayth the Lord God of hostes.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:4 Et je livrerai l'Egypte entre les mains d'un maître sévère; Un roi cruel dominera sur eux, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées.(FR) 4 ׃19 וְסִכַּרְתִּי֙ אֶת־מִצְרַ֔יִם בְּיַ֖ד אֲדֹנִ֣ים קָשֶׁ֑ה וּמֶ֤לֶךְ עַז֙ יִמְשָׁל־בָּ֔ם נְאֻ֥ם הָאָד֖וֹן יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ Isaiah Isa 19:4 "Moreover, I will deliver the Egyptians into the hand of a cruel master, And a mighty king will rule over them," declares the Lord God of hosts. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:5 ============ Isa 19:5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.(KJV) Isaiah 19:5 Then the waters of the sea shall faile, and the riuers shall be dryed vp, and wasted.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:5 Les eaux de la mer tariront, Le fleuve deviendra sec et aride;(FR) 5 ׃19 וְנִשְּׁתוּ־מַ֖יִם מֵֽהַיָּ֑ם וְנָהָ֖ר יֶחֱרַ֥ב וְיָבֵֽשׁ׃ Isaiah Isa 19:5 The waters from the sea will dry up, And the river will be parched and dry. How can you men say to Pharaoh, "I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings"? (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:12 ============ Isa 19:12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.(KJV) Isaiah 19:12 Where are nowe thy wise men, that they may tell thee, or may knowe what the Lorde of hostes hath determined against Egypt?(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:12 Où sont-ils donc tes sages? Please let them tell you, And let them understand what the Lord of hosts Has purposed against Egypt. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:18 ============ Isa 19:18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.(KJV) Isaiah 19:18 In that day shall fiue cities in the lande of Egypt speake the language of Canaan, and shall sweare by the Lord of hostes. one shall be called the citie of destruction.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:18 En ce temps-là, il y aura cinq villes au pays d'Egypte, Qui parleront la langue de Canaan, Et qui jureront par l'Eternel des armées: L'une d'elles sera appelée ville de la destruction.(FR) 18 ׃19 בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֡וּא יִהְיוּ֩ חָמֵ֨שׁ עָרִ֜ים בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֗יִם מְדַבְּרוֹת֙ שְׂפַ֣ת כְּנַ֔עַן וְנִשְׁבָּע֖וֹת לַיהוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת עִ֣יר הַהֶ֔רֶס יֵאָמֵ֖ר לְאֶחָֽת׃ ס Isaiah Isa 19:18 In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will be speaking the language of Canaan and swearing allegiance to the Lord of hosts; one will be called the City of Destruction. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:19 ============ Isa 19:19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.(KJV) Isaiah 19:19 In that day shall the altar of the Lorde be in the middes of the land of Egypt, and a pillar by the border thereof vnto the Lord.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:19 En ce même temps, il y aura un autel à l'Eternel Au milieu du pays d'Egypte, Et sur la frontière un monument à l'Eternel.(FR) 19 ׃19 בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא יִֽהְיֶ֤ה מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה בְּת֖וֹךְ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וּמַצֵּבָ֥ה אֵֽצֶל־גְּבוּלָ֖הּ לַֽיהוָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 19:19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord near its border. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:20 ============ Isa 19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.(KJV) Isaiah 19:20 And it shall be for a signe and for a witnes vnto the Lord of hostes in the land of Egypt: for they shall crie vnto the Lorde, because of the oppressers, and he shall send them a Sauiour and a great man, and shall deliuer them.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:20 Ce sera pour l'Eternel des armées un signe et un témoignage Dans le pays d'Egypte; Ils crieront à l'Eternel à cause des oppresseurs, Et il leur enverra un sauveur et un défenseur pour les délivrer.(FR) 20 ׃19 וְהָיָ֨ה לְא֥וֹת וּלְעֵ֛ד לַֽיהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם כִּֽי־יִצְעֲק֤וּ אֶל־יְהוָה֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י לֹֽחֲצִ֔ים וְיִשְׁלַ֥ח לָהֶ֛ם מוֹשִׁ֥יעַ וָרָ֖ב וְהִצִּילָֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 19:20 It will become a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Champion, and He will deliver them. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:21 ============ Isa 19:21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.(KJV) Isaiah 19:21 And the Lorde shall be knowen of the Egyptians, and the Egyptians shall knowe the Lord in that day, and doe sacrifice & oblation, & shall vowe vowes vnto the Lord, and performe them.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:21 Et l'Eternel sera connu des Egyptiens, Et les Egyptiens connaîtront l'Eternel en ce jour-là; Ils feront des sacrifices et des offrandes, Ils feront des voeux à l'Eternel et les accompliront.(FR) 21 ׃19 וְנוֹדַ֤ע יְהוָה֙ לְמִצְרַ֔יִם וְיָדְע֥וּ מִצְרַ֛יִם אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא וְעָֽבְדוּ֙ זֶ֣בַח וּמִנְחָ֔ה וְנָדְרוּ־נֵ֥דֶר לַֽיהוָ֖ה וְשִׁלֵּֽמוּ׃ Isaiah Isa 19:21 Thus the Lord will make Himself known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day. They will even worship with sacrifice and offering, and will make a vow to the Lord and perform it. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 19:22 ============ Isa 19:22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.(KJV) Isaiah 19:22 So ye Lord shall smite Egypt, he shall smite and heale it: for he shall returne vnto ye Lord, and he shall be intreated of them and shall heale them.(Geneva) Ésaïe 19:22 Ainsi l'Eternel frappera les Egyptiens, Il les frappera, mais il les guérira; Et ils se convertiront à l'Eternel, Qui les exaucera et les guérira.(FR) 22 ׃19 וְנָגַ֧ף יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־מִצְרַ֖יִם נָגֹ֣ף וְרָפ֑וֹא וְשָׁ֙בוּ֙ עַד־יְהוָ֔ה וְנֶעְתַּ֥ר לָהֶ֖ם וּרְפָאָֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 19:22 The Lord will strike Egypt, striking but healing; so they will return to the Lord, and He will respond to them and will heal them.
