Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 20:1 ============ Isa 20:1 In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;(KJV) Isaiah 20:1 In the yeere that Tartan came to Ashdod, (when Sargon King of Asshur sent him) and had fought against Ashdod, and taken it,(Geneva) Ésaïe 20:1 L'année où Tharthan, envoyé par Sargon, roi d'Assyrie, vint assiéger Asdod et s'en empara,(FR) 1 ׃20 בִּשְׁנַ֨ת בֹּ֤א תַרְתָּן֙ אַשְׁדּ֔וֹדָה בִּשְׁלֹ֣ח אֹת֔וֹ סַֽרְג֖וֹן מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֑וּר וַיִּלָּ֥חֶם בְּאַשְׁדּ֖וֹד וַֽיִּלְכְּדָֽהּ׃ Isaiah Isa 20:1 In the year that the commander came to Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him and he fought against Ashdod and captured it, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 20:2 ============ Isa 20:2 At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.(KJV) Isaiah 20:2 At the same time spake the Lord by ye hand of Isaiah the sonne of Amoz, saying, Goe, and loose the sackecloth from thy loynes, and put off thy shooe from thy foote; he did so, walking naked and barefoote.(Geneva) Ésaïe 20:2 en ce temps-là l'Eternel adressa la parole à Esaïe, fils d'Amots, et lui dit: Va, détache le sac de tes reins et ôte tes souliers de tes pieds. Il fit ainsi, marcha nu et déchaussé.(FR) 2 ׃20 בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֗יא דִּבֶּ֣ר יְהוָה֮ בְּיַ֣ד יְשַׁעְיָ֣הוּ בֶן־אָמוֹץ֮ לֵאמֹר֒ לֵ֗ךְ וּפִתַּחְתָּ֤ הַשַּׂק֙ מֵעַ֣ל מָתְנֶ֔יךָ וְנַעַלְךָ֥ תַחֲלֹ֖ץ מֵעַ֣ל רַגְלֶ֑יךָ וַיַּ֣עַשׂ כֵּ֔ן הָלֹ֖ךְ עָר֥וֹם וְיָחֵֽף׃ ס Isaiah Isa 20:2 at that time the Lord spoke through Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, "Go and loosen the sackcloth from your hips and take your shoes off your feet." And he did so, going naked and barefoot. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 20:3 ============ Isa 20:3 And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;(KJV) Isaiah 20:3 And the Lord said, Like as my seruant Isaiah hath walked naked, & barefoote three yeeres, as a signe and wonder vpon Egypt, and Ethiopia,(Geneva) Ésaïe 20:3 Et l'Eternel dit: De même que mon serviteur Esaïe marche nu et déchaussé, ce qui sera dans trois ans un signe et un présage pour l'Egypte et pour l'Ethiopie,(FR) 3 ׃20 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הָלַ֛ךְ עַבְדִּ֥י יְשַׁעְיָ֖הוּ עָר֣וֹם וְיָחֵ֑ף שָׁלֹ֤שׁ שָׁנִים֙ א֣וֹת וּמוֹפֵ֔ת עַל־מִצְרַ֖יִם וְעַל־כּֽוּשׁ׃ Isaiah Isa 20:3 And the Lord said, "Even as My servant Isaiah has gone naked and barefoot three years as a sign and token against Egypt and Cush, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 20:4 ============ Isa 20:4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.(KJV) Isaiah 20:4 So shall the King of Asshur take away the captiuitie of Egypt, and the captiuitie of Ethiopia, both yong men and olde men, naked and barefoote, with their buttockes vncouered, to the shame of Egypt.(Geneva) Ésaïe 20:4 de même le roi d'Assyrie emmènera de l'Egypte et de l'Ethiopie captifs et exilés les jeunes hommes et les vieillards, nus et déchaussés, et le dos découvert, à la honte de l'Egypte.(FR) 4 ׃20 כֵּ֣ן יִנְהַ֣ג מֶֽלֶךְ־אַ֠שּׁוּר אֶת־שְׁבִ֨י מִצְרַ֜יִם וְאֶת־גָּל֥וּת כּ֛וּשׁ נְעָרִ֥ים וּזְקֵנִ֖ים עָר֣וֹם וְיָחֵ֑ף וַחֲשׂוּפַ֥י שֵׁ֖ת עֶרְוַ֥ת מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Isaiah Isa 20:4 so the king of Assyria will lead away the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Cush, young and old, naked and barefoot with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 20:5 ============ Isa 20:5 And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.(KJV) Isaiah 20:5 And they shall feare, & be ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, & of Egypt their glory.(Geneva) Ésaïe 20:5 Alors on sera dans l'effroi et dans la confusion, à cause de l'Ethiopie en qui l'on avait mis sa confiance, et de l'Egypte dont on se glorifiait.(FR) 5 ׃20 וְחַתּ֖וּ וָבֹ֑שׁוּ מִכּוּשׁ֙ מַבָּטָ֔ם וּמִן־מִצְרַ֖יִם תִּפְאַרְתָּֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 20:5 Then they will be dismayed and ashamed because of Cush their hope and Egypt their boast. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 20:6 ============ Isa 20:6 And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?(kjv) Isaiah 20:6 Then shall the inhabitant of this yle say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we fledde for helpe to be deliuered from the King of Asshur, and howe shall we be deliuered?(Geneva) Ésaïe 20:6 Et les habitants de cette côte diront en ce jour: Voilà ce qu'est devenu l'objet de notre attente, sur lequel nous avions compté pour être secourus, pour être délivrés du roi d'Assyrie! Comment échapperons-nous?(FR) 6 ׃20 וְ֠אָמַר יֹשֵׁ֨ב הָאִ֣י הַזֶּה֮ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַהוּא֒ הִנֵּה־כֹ֣ה מַבָּטֵ֗נוּ אֲשֶׁר־נַ֤סְנוּ שָׁם֙ לְעֶזְרָ֔ה לְהִ֨נָּצֵ֔ל מִפְּנֵ֖י מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֑וּר וְאֵ֖יךְ נִמָּלֵ֥ט אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃ ס Isaiah Isa 20:6 So the inhabitants of this coastland will say in that day, 'Behold, such is our hope, where we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and we, how shall we escape?'" (nasb) ======= Isaiah 21:1 ============ Isa 21:1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.(KJV) Isaiah 21:1 The burden of the desert Sea.
