Qu'as-tu donc, que tout ton peuple monte sur les toits?(FR) 1 ׃22 מַשָּׂ֖א גֵּ֣יא חִזָּי֑וֹן מַה־לָּ֣ךְ אֵפ֔וֹא כִּֽי־עָלִ֥ית כֻּלָּ֖ךְ לַגַּגּֽוֹת׃ Isaiah Isa 22:1 The oracle concerning the valley of vision. What is the matter with you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops? (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:2 ============ Isa 22:2 Thou that art full of stirs, a tumultuous city, joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.(KJV) Isaiah 22:2 Thou that art full of noise, a citie full of brute, a ioyous citie: thy slaine men shall not bee slaine with sworde, nor die in battell.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:2 Ville bruyante, pleine de tumulte, Cité joyeuse! Tes morts ne périront pas par l'épée, Ils ne mourront pas en combattant.(FR) 2 ׃22 תְּשֻׁא֣וֹת ׀ מְלֵאָ֗ה עִ֚יר הֽוֹמִיָּ֔ה קִרְיָ֖ה עַלִּיזָ֑ה חֲלָלַ֙יִךְ֙ לֹ֣א חַלְלֵי־חֶ֔רֶב וְלֹ֖א מֵתֵ֥י מִלְחָמָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 22:2 You who were full of noise, You boisterous town, you exultant city; Your slain were not slain with the sword, Nor did they die in battle. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:3 ============ Isa 22:3 All thy rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in thee are bound together, which have fled from far.(KJV) Isaiah 22:3 All thy princes shal flee together from the bowe: they shalbe bound: all that shall be found in thee, shall be bound together, which haue fled from farre.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:3 Tous tes chefs fuient ensemble, Ils sont faits prisonniers par les archers; Tous tes habitants deviennent à la fois captifs, Tandis qu'ils prennent au loin la fuite.(FR) 3 ׃22 כָּל־קְצִינַ֥יִךְ נָֽדְדוּ־יַ֖חַד מִקֶּ֣שֶׁת אֻסָּ֑רוּ כָּל־נִמְצָאַ֙יִךְ֙ אֻסְּר֣וּ יַחְדָּ֔ו מֵרָח֖וֹק בָּרָֽחוּ׃ Isaiah Isa 22:3 All your rulers have fled together, And have been captured without the bow; All of you who were found were taken captive together, Though they had fled far away. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:4 ============ Isa 22:4 Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.(KJV) Isaiah 22:4 Therefore said I, Turne away from me: I wil weepe bitterly: labour not to comfort mee for the destruction of the daughter of my people.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:4 C'est pourquoi je dis: Détournez de moi les regards, Laissez-moi pleurer amèrement; N'insistez pas pour me consoler Du désastre de la fille de mon peuple.(FR) 4 ׃22 עַל־כֵּ֥ן אָמַ֛רְתִּי שְׁע֥וּ מִנִּ֖י אֲמָרֵ֣ר בַּבֶּ֑כִי אַל־תָּאִ֣יצוּ לְנַֽחֲמֵ֔נִי עַל־שֹׁ֖ד בַּת־עַמִּֽי׃ Isaiah Isa 22:4 Therefore I say, "Turn your eyes away from me, Let me weep bitterly, Do not try to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people."(nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:5 ============ Isa 22:5 For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.(KJV) Isaiah 22:5 For it is a day of trouble, and of ruine, and of perplexitie by the Lorde God of hostes in the valley of vision, breaking downe the citie: and a crying vnto the mountaines.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:5 Car c'est un jour de trouble, d'écrasement et de confusion, Envoyé par le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées, Dans la vallée des visions. On démolit les murailles, Et les cris de détresse retentissent vers la montagne.(FR) 5 ׃22 כִּ֣י יוֹם֩ מְהוּמָ֨ה וּמְבוּסָ֜ה וּמְבוּכָ֗ה לַֽאדֹנָ֧י יְהוִ֛ה צְבָא֖וֹת בְּגֵ֣יא חִזָּי֑וֹן מְקַרְקַ֥ר קִ֖ר וְשׁ֥וֹעַ אֶל־הָהָֽר׃ Isaiah Isa 22:5 For the Lord God of hosts has a day of panic, subjugation and confusion In the valley of vision, A breaking down of walls And a crying to the mountain. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:6 ============ Isa 22:6 And Elam bare the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.(KJV) Isaiah 22:6 And Elam bare the quiuer in a mans charet with horsemen, and Kir vncouered the shield.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:6 Elam porte le carquois; Des chars de combattants, des cavaliers, s'avancent; Kir met à nu le bouclier.(FR) 6 ׃22 וְעֵילָם֙ נָשָׂ֣א אַשְׁפָּ֔ה בְּרֶ֥כֶב אָדָ֖ם פָּֽרָשִׁ֑ים וְקִ֥יר עֵרָ֖ה מָגֵֽן׃ Isaiah Isa 22:6 Elam took up the quiver With the chariots, infantry and horsemen; And Kir uncovered the shield. But you did not depend on Him who made it, Nor did you take into consideration Him who planned it long ago. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:12 ============ Isa 22:12 And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:(KJV) Isaiah 22:12 And in that day did the Lord God of hosts call vnto weeping and mourning, and to baldnes and girding with sackecloth.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:12 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées, vous appelle en ce jour A pleurer et à vous frapper la poitrine, A vous raser la tête et à ceindre le sac.(FR) 12 ׃22 וַיִּקְרָ֗א אֲדֹנָ֧י יְהוִ֛ה צְבָא֖וֹת בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא לִבְכִי֙ וּלְמִסְפֵּ֔ד וּלְקָרְחָ֖ה וְלַחֲגֹ֥ר שָֽׂק׃ Isaiah Isa 22:12 Therefore in that day the Lord God of hosts called you to weeping, to wailing, To shaving the head and to wearing sackcloth. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:13 ============ Isa 22:13 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.(KJV) Isaiah 22:13 And beholde, ioy and gladnes, slaying oxen and killing sheepe, eating flesh, & drinking wine, eating and drinking: for to morowe we shall die.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:13 Et voici de la gaîté et de la joie! On égorge des boeufs et l'on tue des brebis, On mange de la viande et l'on boit du vin: Mangeons et buvons, car demain nous mourrons! -(FR) 13 ׃22 וְהִנֵּ֣ה ׀ שָׂשׂ֣וֹן וְשִׂמְחָ֗ה הָרֹ֤ג ׀ בָּקָר֙ וְשָׁחֹ֣ט צֹ֔אן אָכֹ֥ל בָּשָׂ֖ר וְשָׁת֣וֹת יָ֑יִן אָכ֣וֹל וְשָׁת֔וֹ כִּ֥י מָחָ֖ר נָמֽוּת׃ Isaiah Isa 22:13 Instead, there is gaiety and gladness, Killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, Eating of meat and drinking of wine: "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die."(nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:14 ============ Isa 22:14 And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.(KJV) Isaiah 22:14 And it was declared in ye eares of the Lorde of hostes. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:15 ============ Isa 22:15 Thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, which is over the house, and say,(KJV) Isaiah 22:15 Thus sayeth the Lord God of hostes, Goe, get thee to that treasurer, to Shebna, the steward of the house, and say,(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:15 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel des armées: Va vers ce courtisan, Vers Schebna, gouverneur du palais:(FR) 15 ׃22 כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִ֖ה צְבָא֑וֹת לֶךְ־בֹּא֙ אֶל־הַסֹּכֵ֣ן הַזֶּ֔ה עַל־שֶׁבְנָ֖א אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הַבָּֽיִת׃ Isaiah Isa 22:15 Thus says the Lord God of hosts, "Come, go to this steward, To Shebna, who is in charge of the royal household, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:16 ============ Isa 22:16 What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock?(KJV) Isaiah 22:16 What haste thou to doe here? and whome hast thou here? that thou shouldest here hewe thee out a sepulchre, as he that heweth out his sepulchre in an hie place, or that graueth an habitation for him selfe in a rocke?(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:16 Qu'y a-t-il à toi ici, et qui as-tu ici, Que tu creuses ici un sépulcre? Il se creuse un sépulcre sur la hauteur, Il se taille une demeure dans le roc!(FR) 16 ׃22 מַה־לְּךָ֥ פֹה֙ וּמִ֣י לְךָ֣ פֹ֔ה כִּֽי־חָצַ֧בְתָּ לְּךָ֛ פֹּ֖ה קָ֑בֶר חֹצְבִ֤י מָרוֹם֙ קִבְר֔וֹ חֹקְקִ֥י בַסֶּ֖לַע מִשְׁכָּ֥ן לֽוֹ׃ Isaiah Isa 22:16 'What right do you have here, And whom do you have here, That you have hewn a tomb for yourself here, You who hew a tomb on the height, You who carve a resting place for yourself in the rock? And He is about to grasp you firmly(nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:18 ============ Isa 22:18 He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house.(KJV) Isaiah 22:18 He wil surely rolle and turne thee like a bal in a large countrey: there shalt thou die, and there the charets of thy glory shalbe the shame of thy lordes house.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:18 Il te fera rouler, rouler comme une balle, Sur une terre spacieuse; Là tu mourras, là seront tes chars magnifiques, O toi, l'opprobre de la maison de ton maître!(FR) 18 ׃22 צָנ֤וֹף יִצְנָפְךָ֙ צְנֵפָ֔ה כַּדּ֕וּר אֶל־אֶ֖רֶץ רַחֲבַ֣ת יָדָ֑יִם שָׁ֣מָּה תָמ֗וּת וְשָׁ֙מָּה֙ מַרְכְּב֣וֹת כְּבוֹדֶ֔ךָ קְל֖וֹן בֵּ֥ית אֲדֹנֶֽיךָ׃ Isaiah Isa 22:18 And roll you tightly like a ball, To be cast into a vast country; There you will die And there your splendid chariots will be, You shame of your master's house.'(nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:19 ============ Isa 22:19 And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.(KJV) Isaiah 22:19 And I wil driue thee from thy station, and out of thy dwelling will he destroy thee.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:19 Je te chasserai de ton poste, L'Eternel t'arrachera de ta place.(FR) 19 ׃22 וַהֲדַפְתִּ֖יךָ מִמַּצָּבֶ֑ךָ וּמִמַּעֲמָֽדְךָ֖ יֶהֶרְסֶֽךָ׃ Isaiah Isa 22:19 "I will depose you from your office, And I will pull you down from your station. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:20 ============ Isa 22:20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:(KJV) Isaiah 22:20 And in that day will I call my seruant Eliakim the sonne of Hilkiah,(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:20 En ce jour-là, J'appellerai mon serviteur Eliakim, fils de Hilkija;(FR) 20 ׃22 וְהָיָ֖ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא וְקָרָ֣אתִי לְעַבְדִּ֔י לְאֶלְיָקִ֖ים בֶּן־חִלְקִיָּֽהוּ׃ Isaiah Isa 22:20 "Then it will come about in that day, That I will summon My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:21 ============ Isa 22:21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.(KJV) Isaiah 22:21 And with thy garments will I clothe him, and with thy girdle will I strengthen him: thy power also will I commit into his hande, and hee shalbe a father of the inhabitats of Ierusalem, and of the house of Iudah.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:21 Je le revêtirai de ta tunique, je le ceindrai de ta ceinture, Et je remettrai ton pouvoir entre ses mains; Il sera un père pour les habitants de Jérusalem Et pour la maison de Juda.(FR) 21 ׃22 וְהִלְבַּשְׁתִּ֣יו כֻּתָּנְתֶּ֗ךָ וְאַבְנֵֽטְךָ֙ אֲחַזְּקֶ֔נּוּ וּמֶֽמְשֶׁלְתְּךָ֖ אֶתֵּ֣ן בְּיָד֑וֹ וְהָיָ֥ה לְאָ֛ב לְיוֹשֵׁ֥ב יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וּלְבֵ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 22:21 And I will clothe him with your tunic And tie your sash securely about him. I will entrust him with your authority, And he will become a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:22 ============ Isa 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.(KJV) Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of Dauid will I lay vpon his shoulder: so hee shall open, and no ma shal shut: & he shal shut, & no man shal open.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:22 Je mettrai sur son épaule la clé de la maison de David: Quand il ouvrira, nul ne fermera; Quand il fermera, nul n'ouvrira.(FR) 22 ׃22 וְנָתַתִּ֛י מַפְתֵּ֥חַ בֵּית־דָּוִ֖ד עַל־שִׁכְמ֑וֹ וּפָתַח֙ וְאֵ֣ין סֹגֵ֔ר וְסָגַ֖ר וְאֵ֥ין פֹּתֵֽחַ׃ Isaiah Isa 22:22 "Then I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder, When he opens no one will shut, When he shuts no one will open. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:23 ============ Isa 22:23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.(KJV) Isaiah 22:23 And I will fasten him as a naile in a sure place, and hee shall be for the throne of glorie to his fathers house.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:23 Je l'enfoncerai comme un clou dans un lieu sûr, Et il sera un siège de gloire pour la maison de son père.(FR) 23 ׃22 וּתְקַעְתִּ֥יו יָתֵ֖ד בְּמָק֣וֹם נֶאֱמָ֑ן וְהָיָ֛ה לְכִסֵּ֥א כָב֖וֹד לְבֵ֥ית אָבִֽיו׃ Isaiah Isa 22:23 "I will drive him like a peg in a firm place, And he will become a throne of glory to his father's house. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 22:24 ============ Isa 22:24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.(KJV) Isaiah 22:24 And they shall hang vpon him all the glorie of his fathers house, euen of the nephewes and posteritie all smal vessels, from the vessels of the cuppes, euen to all the instruments of musike.(Geneva) Ésaïe 22:24 Il sera le soutien de toute la gloire de la maison de son père, Des rejetons nobles et ignobles, De tous les petits ustensiles, Des bassins comme des vases.(FR) 24 ׃22 וְתָל֨וּ עָלָ֜יו כֹּ֣ל ׀ כְּב֣וֹד בֵּית־אָבִ֗יו הַצֶּֽאֱצָאִים֙ וְהַצְּפִע֔וֹת כֹּ֖ל כְּלֵ֣י הַקָּטָ֑ן מִכְּלֵי֙ הָֽאַגָּנ֔וֹת וְעַ֖ד כָּל־כְּלֵ֥י הַנְּבָלִֽים׃ Isaiah Isa 22:24 So they will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, offspring and issue, all the least of vessels, from bowls to all the jars.
