When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.(KJV) Isaiah 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God, and their horses flesh and not spirite: and when the Lorde shall stretch out his hand, the helper shall fall, and hee that is holpen shal fall, and they shall altogether faile.(Geneva) Ésaïe 31:3 L'Egyptien est homme et non dieu; Ses chevaux sont chair et non esprit. Quand l'Eternel étendra sa main, Le protecteur chancellera, le protégé tombera, Et tous ensemble ils périront.(FR) 3 ׃31 וּמִצְרַ֤יִם אָדָם֙ וְֽלֹא־אֵ֔ל וְסוּסֵיהֶ֥ם בָּשָׂ֖ר וְלֹא־ר֑וּחַ וַֽיהוָ֞ה יַטֶּ֣ה יָד֗וֹ וְכָשַׁ֤ל עוֹזֵר֙ וְנָפַ֣ל עָזֻ֔ר וְיַחְדָּ֖ו כֻּלָּ֥ם יִכְלָיֽוּן׃ ס Isaiah Isa 31:3 Now the Egyptians are men and not God, And their horses are flesh and not spirit; So the Lord will stretch out His hand, And he who helps will stumble And he who is helped will fall, And all of them will come to an end together. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 31:4 ============ Isa 31:4 For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.(KJV) Isaiah 31:4 For thus hath the Lord spoken vnto me, As the lyon or lyons whelpe roareth vpon his praye, against whom if a multitude of shepheards be called, hee will not be afraide at their voyce, neither will humble him selfe at their noise: so shall the Lord of hostes come downe to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.(Geneva) Ésaïe 31:4 Car ainsi m'a parlé l'Eternel: Comme le lion, comme le lionceau rugit sur sa proie, Et, malgré tous les bergers rassemblés contre lui, Ne se laisse ni effrayer par leur voix, Ni intimider par leur nombre; De même l'Eternel des armées descendra Pour combattre sur la montagne de Sion et sur sa colline.(FR) 4 ׃31 כִּ֣י כֹ֣ה אָֽמַר־יְהוָ֣ה ׀ אֵלַ֡י כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר יֶהְגֶּה֩ הָאַרְיֵ֨ה וְהַכְּפִ֜יר עַל־טַרְפּ֗וֹ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יִקָּרֵ֤א עָלָיו֙ מְלֹ֣א רֹעִ֔ים מִקּוֹלָם֙ לֹ֣א יֵחָ֔ת וּמֵֽהֲמוֹנָ֖ם לֹ֣א יַֽעֲנֶ֑ה כֵּ֗ן יֵרֵד֙ יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת לִצְבֹּ֥א עַל־הַר־צִיּ֖וֹן וְעַל־גִּבְעָתָֽהּ׃ Isaiah Isa 31:4 For thus says the Lord to me, "As the lion or the young lion growls over his prey, Against which a band of shepherds is called out, And he will not be terrified at their voice nor disturbed at their noise, So will the Lord of hosts come down to wage war on Mount Zion and on its hill."(nasb) ======= Isaiah 31:5 ============ Isa 31:5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.(KJV) Isaiah 31:5 As birds that flie, so shal the Lord of hostes defend Ierusalem by defending and deliuering, by passing through and preseruing it.(Geneva) Ésaïe 31:5 Comme des oiseaux déploient les ailes sur leur couvée, Ainsi l'Eternel des armées étendra sa protection sur Jérusalem; Il protégera et délivrera, Il épargnera et sauvera.(FR) 5 ׃31 כְּצִפֳּרִ֣ים עָפ֔וֹת כֵּ֗ן יָגֵ֛ן יְהוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת עַל־יְרֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם גָּנ֥וֹן וְהִצִּ֖יל פָּסֹ֥חַ וְהִמְלִֽיט׃ Isaiah Isa 31:5 Like flying birds so the Lord of hosts will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and deliver it; He will pass over and rescue it. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 31:7 ============ Isa 31:7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.(KJV) Isaiah 31:7 For in that day euery man shall cast out his idoles of siluer, and his idoles of golde, which your handes haue made you, euen a sinne.(Geneva) Ésaïe 31:7 En ce jour, chacun rejettera ses idoles d'argent et ses idoles d'or, Que vous vous êtes fabriquées de vos mains criminelles.(FR) 7 ׃31 כִּ֚י בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא יִמְאָס֗וּן אִ֚ישׁ אֱלִילֵ֣י כַסְפּ֔וֹ וֶאֱלִילֵ֖י זְהָב֑וֹ אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשׂ֥וּ לָכֶ֛ם יְדֵיכֶ֖ם חֵֽטְא׃ Isaiah Isa 31:7 For in that day every man will cast away his silver idols and his gold idols, which your sinful hands have made for you as a sin. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 31:8 ============ Isa 31:8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.(KJV) Isaiah 31:8 Then shall Asshur fall by the sworde, not of man, neither shall the sworde of man deuoure him, and hee shall flee from the sworde, and his yong men shall faint.(Geneva) Ésaïe 31:8 Et l'Assyrien tombera sous un glaive qui n'est pas celui d'un homme, Et un glaive qui n'est pas celui d'un homme le dévorera; Il s'enfuira devant le glaive, Et ses jeunes guerriers seront asservis.(FR) 8 ׃31 וְנָפַ֤ל אַשּׁוּר֙ בְּחֶ֣רֶב לֹא־אִ֔ישׁ וְחֶ֥רֶב לֹֽא־אָדָ֖ם תֹּֽאכֲלֶ֑נּוּ וְנָ֥ס לוֹ֙ מִפְּנֵי־חֶ֔רֶב וּבַחוּרָ֖יו לָמַ֥ס יִהְיֽוּ׃ Isaiah Isa 31:8 And the Assyrian will fall by a sword not of man, And a sword not of man will devour him. So he will not escape the sword, And his young men will become forced laborers. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 31:9 ============ Isa 31:9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.(kjv) Isaiah 31:9 And he shall go for feare to his towre, and his princes shall be afraide of the standart, sayeth the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his fornace in Ierusalem.(Geneva) Ésaïe 31:9 Son rocher s'enfuira d'épouvante, Et ses chefs trembleront devant la bannière, Dit l'Eternel, qui a son feu dans Sion Et sa fournaise dans Jérusalem.(FR) 9 ׃31 וְסַלְעוֹ֙ מִמָּג֣וֹר יַֽעֲב֔וֹר וְחַתּ֥וּ מִנֵּ֖ס שָׂרָ֑יו נְאֻם־יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁר־א֥וּר לוֹ֙ בְּצִיּ֔וֹן וְתַנּ֥וּר ל֖וֹ בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ ס Isaiah Isa 31:9 "His rock will pass away because of panic, And his princes will be terrified at the standard," Declares the Lord, whose fire is in Zion and whose furnace is in Jerusalem. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 32:1 ============ Isa 32:1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.(KJV) Isaiah 32:1 Beholde, a King shall reigne in iustice, and the princes shall rule in iudgement.(Geneva) Ésaïe 32:1 Alors le roi régnera selon la justice, Et les princes gouverneront avec droiture.(FR) |
