Psalm 9


Psalm 9:1 ( A Psalm of David) I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders.
Psalm 9:2 I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:3 When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish before You.
Psalm 9:4 For You have maintained my just cause; You have sat on the throne judging righteously.
Psalm 9:5 You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
Psalm 9:6 The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins, And You have uprooted the cities; The very memory of them has perished.
Psalm 9:7 But the Lord abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment,
Psalm 9:8 And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity.
Psalm 9:9 The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble;
Psalm 9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
Psalm 9:11 Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion; Declare among the peoples His deeds.
Psalm 9:12 For He who requires blood remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
Psalm 9:13 Be gracious to me, O Lord; See my affliction from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,
Psalm 9:14 That I may tell of all Your praises, That in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in Your salvation.
Psalm 9:15 The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made; In the net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.
Psalm 9:16 The Lord has made Himself known; He has executed judgment. In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. Higgaion Selah.
Psalm 9:17 The wicked will return to Sheol, Even all the nations who forget God.
Psalm 9:18 For the needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever.
Psalm 9:19 Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged before You.
Psalm 9:20 Put them in fear, O Lord; Let the nations know that they are but men. Selah.

Psalm 9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. Psalm 9:1 ( A Psalm of David) I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. Psalm 9:1 εἰς τὸ τέλος ὑπὲρ τῶν κρυφίων τοῦ υἱοῦ ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ
Psalm 9:2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. Psalm 9:2 I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:2 ἐξομολογήσομαί σοι κύριε ἐν ὅλῃ καρδίᾳ μου διηγήσομαι πάντα τὰ θαυμάσιά σου
Psalm 9:3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. Psalm 9:3 When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish before You. Psalm 9:3 εὐφρανθήσομαι καὶ ἀγαλλιάσομαι ἐν σοί ψαλῶ τῷ ὀνόματί σου ὕψιστε
Psalm 9:4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right. Psalm 9:4 For You have maintained my just cause; You have sat on the throne judging righteously. Psalm 9:4 ἐν τῷ ἀποστραφῆναι τὸν ἐχθρόν μου εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω ἀσθενήσουσιν καὶ ἀπολοῦνται ἀπὸ προσώπου σου
Psalm 9:5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. Psalm 9:5 You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever. Psalm 9:5 ὅτι ἐποίησας τὴν κρίσιν μου καὶ τὴν δίκην μου ἐκάθισας ἐπὶ θρόνου ὁ κρίνων δικαιοσύνην
Psalm 9:6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. Psalm 9:6 The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins, And You have uprooted the cities; The very memory of them has perished. Psalm 9:6 ἐπετίμησας ἔθνεσιν καὶ ἀπώλετο ὁ ἀσεβής τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν ἐξήλειψας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦ αἰῶνος
Psalm 9:7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. Psalm 9:7 But the Lord abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment, Psalm 9:7 τοῦ ἐχθροῦ ἐξέλιπον αἱ ῥομφαῖαι εἰς τέλος καὶ πόλεις καθεῖλες ἀπώλετο τὸ μνημόσυνον αὐτῶν μετ᾽ ἤχους
Psalm 9:8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. Psalm 9:8 And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity. Psalm 9:8 καὶ ὁ κύριος εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα μένει ἡτοίμασεν ἐν κρίσει τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ
Psalm 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9 The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble; Psalm 9:9 καὶ αὐτὸς κρινεῖ τὴν οἰκουμένην ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ κρινεῖ λαοὺς ἐν εὐθύτητι
Psalm 9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:10 καὶ ἐγένετο κύριος καταφυγὴ τῷ πένητι βοηθὸς ἐν εὐκαιρίαις ἐν θλίψει
Psalm 9:11 Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. Psalm 9:11 Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion; Declare among the peoples His deeds. Psalm 9:11 καὶ ἐλπισάτωσαν ἐπὶ σὲ οἱ γινώσκοντες τὸ ὄνομά σου ὅτι οὐκ ἐγκατέλιπες τοὺς ἐκζητοῦντάς σε κύριε
Psalm 9:12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble. Psalm 9:12 For He who requires blood remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted. Psalm 9:12 ψάλατε τῷ κυρίῳ τῷ κατοικοῦντι ἐν Σιων ἀναγγείλατε ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτοῦ
Psalm 9:13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death: Psalm 9:13 Be gracious to me, O Lord; See my affliction from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death, Psalm 9:13 ὅτι ἐκζητῶν τὰ αἵματα αὐτῶν ἐμνήσθη οὐκ ἐπελάθετο τῆς κραυγῆς τῶν πενήτων
Psalm 9:14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation. Psalm 9:14 That I may tell of all Your praises, That in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in Your salvation. Psalm 9:14 ἐλέησόν με κύριε ἰδὲ τὴν ταπείνωσίν μου ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου ὁ ὑψῶν με ἐκ τῶν πυλῶν τοῦ θανάτου
Psalm 9:15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. Psalm 9:15 The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made; In the net which they hid, their own foot has been caught. Psalm 9:15 ὅπως ἂν ἐξαγγείλω πάσας τὰς αἰνέσεις σου ἐν ταῖς πύλαις τῆς θυγατρὸς Σιων ἀγαλλιάσομαι ἐπὶ τῷ σωτηρίῳ σου
Psalm 9:16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. Psalm 9:16 The Lord has made Himself known; He has executed judgment. In the work of his own hands the wicked is snared. Higgaion Selah. Psalm 9:16 ἐνεπάγησαν ἔθνη ἐν διαφθορᾷ ᾗ ἐποίησαν ἐν παγίδι ταύτῃ ᾗ ἔκρυψαν συνελήμφθη ὁ ποὺς αὐτῶν
Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:17 The wicked will return to Sheol, Even all the nations who forget God. Psalm 9:17 γινώσκεται κύριος κρίματα ποιῶν ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις τῶν χειρῶν αὐτοῦ συνελήμφθη ὁ ἁμαρτωλός ᾠδὴ διαψάλματος
Psalm 9:18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. Psalm 9:18 For the needy will not always be forgotten, Nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever. Psalm 9:18 ἀποστραφήτωσαν οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ εἰς τὸν ᾅδην πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τὰ ἐπιλανθανόμενα τοῦ θεοῦ
Psalm 9:19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Psalm 9:19 Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged before You. Psalm 9:19 ὅτι οὐκ εἰς τέλος ἐπιλησθήσεται ὁ πτωχός ἡ ὑπομονὴ τῶν πενήτων οὐκ ἀπολεῖται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα
Psalm 9:20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah. Psalm 9:20 Put them in fear, O Lord; Let the nations know that they are but men. Selah. Psa:9:20:ἀνάστηθι κύριε μὴ κραταιούσθω ἄνθρωπος κριθήτωσαν ἔθνη ἐνώπιόν σου Psalm 9:21 κατάστησον κύριε νομοθέτην ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς γνώτωσαν ἔθνη ὅτι ἄνθρωποί εἰσιν διάψαλμα
