(nasb) ======= Isaiah 25:5 ============ Isa 25:5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.(KJV) Isaiah 25:5 Thou shalt bring downe the noyse of the strangers, as the heate in a drie place: he wil bring downe the song of the mightie, as the heate in the shadowe of a cloude.(Geneva) Ésaïe 25:5 Comme tu domptes la chaleur dans une terre brûlante, Tu as dompté le tumulte des barbares; Comme la chaleur est étouffée par l'ombre d'un nuage, Ainsi ont été étouffés les chants de triomphe des tyrans.(FR) 5 ׃25 כְּחֹ֣רֶב בְּצָי֔וֹן שְׁא֥וֹן זָרִ֖ים תַּכְנִ֑יעַ חֹ֚רֶב בְּצֵ֣ל עָ֔ב זְמִ֥יר עָֽרִיצִ֖ים יַעֲנֶֽה׃ פ Isaiah Isa 25:5 Like heat in drought, You subdue the uproar of aliens; Like heat by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the ruthless is silenced. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 25:6 ============ Isa 25:6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.(KJV) Isaiah 25:6 And in this mountaine shall the Lorde of hostes make vnto all people a feast of fat thinges, euen a feast of fined wines, and of fat thinges full of marow, of wines fined and purified.(Geneva) Ésaïe 25:6 L'Eternel des armées prépare à tous les peuples, sur cette montagne, Un festin de mets succulents, Un festin de vins vieux, De mets succulents, pleins de moelle, De vins vieux, clarifiés.(FR) 6 ׃25 וְעָשָׂה֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת לְכָל־הָֽעַמִּים֙ בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה מִשְׁתֵּ֥ה שְׁמָנִ֖ים מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה שְׁמָרִ֑ים שְׁמָנִים֙ מְמֻ֣חָיִ֔ם שְׁמָרִ֖ים מְזֻקָּקִֽים׃ Isaiah Isa 25:6 The Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, And refined, aged wine. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 25:7 ============ Isa 25:7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.(KJV) Isaiah 25:7 And he will destroy in this mountaine the couering that couereth all people, and the vaile that is spread vpon all nations.(Geneva) Ésaïe 25:7 Et, sur cette montagne, il anéantit le voile qui voile tous les peuples, La couverture qui couvre toutes les nations;(FR) 7 ׃25 וּבִלַּע֙ בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה פְּנֵֽי־הַלּ֥וֹט ׀ הַלּ֖וֹט עַל־כָּל־הָֽעַמִּ֑ים וְהַמַּסֵּכָ֥ה הַנְּסוּכָ֖ה עַל־כָּל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 25:7 And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, Even the veil which is stretched over all nations. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 25:9 ============ Isa 25:9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.(KJV) Isaiah 25:9 And in that day shall men say, Loe, this is our God: we haue waited for him, and he wil saue vs. This is the Lorde, we haue waited for him: we will reioyce and be ioyfull in his saluation.(Geneva) Ésaïe 25:9 En ce jour l'on dira: Voici, c'est notre Dieu, en qui nous avons confiance, Et c'est lui qui nous sauve; C'est l'Eternel, en qui nous avons confiance; Soyons dans l'allégresse, et réjouissons-nous de son salut!(FR) 9 ׃25 וְאָמַר֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא הִנֵּ֨ה אֱלֹהֵ֥ינוּ זֶ֛ה קִוִּ֥ינוּ ל֖וֹ וְיֽוֹשִׁיעֵ֑נוּ זֶ֤ה יְהוָה֙ קִוִּ֣ינוּ ל֔וֹ נָגִ֥ילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָ֖ה בִּישׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃ Isaiah Isa 25:9 And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation."(nasb) ======= Isaiah 25:10 ============ Isa 25:10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.(KJV) Isaiah 25:10 For in this mountaine shall the hand of the Lord rest, and Moab shalbe threshed vnder him, euen as strawe is thresshed in Madmenah.(Geneva) Ésaïe 25:10 Car la main de l'Eternel repose sur cette montagne; Et Moab est foulé sur place, Comme la paille est foulée dans une mare à fumier.(FR) 10 ׃25 כִּֽי־תָנ֥וּחַ יַד־יְהוָ֖ה בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וְנָדוֹ֤[t]שׁ מוֹאָב֙ תַּחְתָּ֔יו כְּהִדּ֥וּשׁ מַתְבֵּ֖ן *במי **בְּמ֥וֹ מַדְמֵנָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 25:10 For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain, And Moab will be trodden down in his place As straw is trodden down in the water of a manure pile. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 25:11 ============ Isa 25:11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.(KJV) Isaiah 25:11 And he shall stretche out his hande in the middes of them (as he that swimmeth, stretcheth them out to swimme) and with the strength of his handes shall he bring downe their pride.(Geneva) Ésaïe 25:11 Au milieu de cette mare, il étend ses mains, Comme le nageur les étend pour nager; Mais l'Eternel abat son orgueil, Et déjoue l'artifice de ses mains.(FR) 11 ׃25 וּפֵרַ֤שׂ יָדָיו֙ בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יְפָרֵ֥שׂ הַשֹּׂחֶ֖ה לִשְׂח֑וֹת וְהִשְׁפִּיל֙ גַּֽאֲוָת֔וֹ עִ֖ם אָרְבּ֥וֹת יָדָֽיו׃ Isaiah Isa 25:11 And he will spread out his hands in the middle of it As a swimmer spreads out his hands to swim, But the Lord will lay low his pride together with the trickery of his hands.
