(nasb) ======= Acts 25:7 ============ Act 25:7 And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.(KJV) Acts 25:7 And when hee was come, the Iewes which were come fro Hierusalem, stoode about him and layd many and grieuous complaints against Paul, whereof they could make no plaine proofe,(Geneva) Actes 25:7 Quand il fut arrivé, les Juifs qui étaient venus de Jérusalem l'entourèrent, et portèrent contre lui de nombreuses et graves accusations, qu'ils n'étaient pas en état de prouver.(FR) אַךְ הוּא הוּבָא וַיָּסֹבּוּ אֹתוֹ הַיְּהוּדִים הַבָּאִים מִירוּשָׁלַיִם וַיַּשִּׂיאוּ עָלָיו עֲוֹנוֹת רַבִּים וּכְבֵדִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָכְלוּ לְהַעֲמִידָם עַל־דְּבַר אֱמֶת׃ ז Acts Act 25:7 After Paul arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him, bringing many and serious charges against him which they could not prove, (nasb) ======= Acts 25:8 ============ Act 25:8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.(KJV) Acts 25:8 Forasmuch as he answered, that he had neither offended any thing against the lawe of the Iewes, neither against ye temple, nor against Cæsar.(Geneva) Actes 25:8 Paul entreprit sa défense, en disant: Je n'ai rien fait de coupable, ni contre la loi des Juifs, ni contre le temple, ni contre César.(FR) וּפוֹלוֹס הִצְטַדֵּק לֵאמֹר לֹא לְתוֹרַת הַיְּהוּדִים וְלֹא לַמִּקְדָּשׁ וְאַף לֹא לְהַקֵּיסַר עַד מָה חָטָאתִי׃ ח Acts Act 25:8 while Paul said in his own defense, "I have committed no offense either against the Law of the Jews or against the temple or against Caesar."(nasb) ======= Acts 25:9 ============ Act 25:9 But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?(KJV) Acts 25:9 Yet Festus willing to get fauour of the Iewes, answered Paul and saide, Wilt thou goe vp to Hierusalem, and there be iudged of these things before mee?(Geneva) Actes 25:9 Festus, désirant plaire aux Juifs, répondit à Paul: Veux-tu monter à Jérusalem, et y être jugé sur ces choses en ma présence?(FR) וּפֶסְטוֹס בְּבַקְּשׁוֹ לְהָפִיק רָצוֹן מֵאֵת הַיְּהוּדִים הוּא עָנָה וְאֲמַר אֶל־פּוֹלוֹס הֲיֵשׁ אֶת־נַפְשְׁךָ כִּי־תוּבָא לִירוּשָׁלַיִם לְהִשָּׁפֵט שָׁם עַל־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה לְפָנָי׃ ט Acts Act 25:9 But Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, answered Paul and said, "Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and stand trial before me on these charges?"(nasb) ======= Acts 25:10 ============ Act 25:10 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.(KJV) Acts 25:10 Then said Paul, I stand at Cæsars iudgment seate, where I ought to be iudged: to the Iewes I haue done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.(Geneva) Actes 25:10 Paul dit: C'est devant le tribunal de César que je comparais, c'est là que je dois être jugé. I have done no wrong to the Jews, as you also very well know. (nasb) ======= Acts 25:11 ============ Act 25:11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. (nasb) ======= Acts 25:14 ============ Act 25:14 And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:(KJV) Acts 25:14 And when they had remained there many dayes, Festus declared Pauls cause vnto the King, saying, There is a certaine man left in prison by Felix,(Geneva) Actes 25:14 Comme ils passèrent là plusieurs jours, Festus exposa au roi l'affaire de Paul, et dit: Félix a laissé prisonnier un homme(FR) וּבְשִׁבְתָּם שָׁם מִסְפָּר יָמִים הוֹדִיעַ פֶּסְטוֹס לַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־דִּבְרֵי פוֹלוֹס וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ אִישׁ אֶחָד אַסִּיר נִמְצָא פֹה אֲשֶׁר פִּילִיכַס הִשְׁאִירוֹ אַחֲרָיו׃ יד Acts Act 25:14 While they were spending many days there, Festus laid Paul's case before the king, saying, "There is a man who was left as a prisoner by Felix; (nasb) ======= Acts 25:15 ============ Act 25:15 About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.(KJV) Acts 25:15 Of whom when I came to Hierusalem, the high Priestes and Elders of the Iewes informed me, and desired to haue iudgement against him.(Geneva) Actes 25:15 contre lequel, lorsque j'étais à Jérusalem, les principaux sacrificateurs et les anciens des Juifs ont porté plainte, en demandant sa condamnation.(FR) וַאֲנִי בְּבֹאִי לִירוּשָׁלַיִם הֵלִינוּ עָלָיו בְּאָזְנַי רָאשֵׁי הַכֹּהֲנִים וְזִקְנֵי הַיְהוּדִים וַיִּפְצְרוּ־בִי לִגְמָר־לוֹ מִשְׁפַּט־מָוֶת׃ טו Acts Act 25:15 and when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews brought charges against him, asking for a sentence of condemnation against him. (nasb) ======= Acts 25:21 ============ Act 25:21 But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.(KJV) Acts 25:21 But because he appealed to be reserued to the examination of Augustus, I commaunded him to be kept, till I mght send him to Cesar.(Geneva) Actes 25:21 Mais Paul en ayant appelé, pour que sa cause fût réservée à la connaissance de l'empereur, j'ai ordonné qu'on le gardât jusqu'à ce que je l'envoyasse à César.(FR) אֲבָל פּוֹלוֹס שָׁאַל לְהִוָּתֵר בַּמִּשְׁמֶרֶת עַד־צֵאת מִשְׁפָּטוֹ מִלִּפְנֵי אֲגוּסְטוֹס עַל־כֵּן צִוִּיתִי לְהַחֲזִיק בּוֹ עַד־אֲשֶׁר אֶשְׁלָחֵהוּ לְהַקֵּיסָר׃ כא Acts Act 25:21 "But when Paul appealed to be held in custody for the Emperor's decision, I ordered him to be kept in custody until I send him to Caesar."(nasb) ======= Acts 25:22 ============ Act 25:22 Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.(KJV) Acts 25:22 Then Agrippa sayd vnto Festus, I would also heare the man my selfe. To morowe, sayd he, thou shalt heare him.(Geneva) Actes 25:22 Agrippa dit à Festus: Je voudrais aussi entendre cet homme. Demain, répondit Festus, tu l'entendras.(FR) וַיֹּאמֶר אַגְרִפַּס אֶל־פֶּסְטוֹס גַּם־אֲנִי נִכְסֹף נִכְסַפְתִּי לִשְׁמֹעַ אֶת־הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה וַיֹּאמֶר מָחָר וְאַתָּה תִּשְׁמָעֶנּוּ׃ כב Acts Act 25:22 Then Agrippa said to "Festus, "I also would like to hear the man myself." "Tomorrow," he said,"you shall hear him." (nasb) ======= Acts 25:23 ============ Act 25:23 And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.(KJV) Acts 25:23 And on the morowe when Agrippa was come and Bernice with great pompe, and were entred into the Common hall with the chiefe captaines and chiefe men of the citie, at Festus commandement Paul was brought forth.(Geneva) Actes 25:23 Le lendemain donc, Agrippa et Bérénice vinrent en grande pompe, et entrèrent dans le lieu de l'audience avec les tribuns et les principaux de la ville. Sur l'ordre de Festus, Paul fut amené.(FR) וַיְהִי מִמָּחֳרָת וַיָּבֹאוּ אַגְרִפַּס וּבֶרְנִיקָה בְּכָבוֹד גָּדוֹל אֶל־בֵּית הַמִּשְׁפָּט עִם־שָׂרֵי הָאֶלֶף וְטוּבֵי הָעִיר וּפֶסְטוֹס צִוָּה וַיּוּבָא פּוֹלוֹס׃ כג Acts Act 25:23 So, on the next day when Agrippa came together with Bernice amid great pomp, and entered the auditorium accompanied by the commanders and the prominent men of the city, at the command of Festus, Paul was brought in. (nasb) ======= Acts 25:25 ============ Act 25:25 But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.(KJV) Acts 25:25 Yet haue I found nothing worthy of death, that he hath committed: neuertheles, seeing that he hath appealed to Augustus, I haue determined to send him.(Geneva) Actes 25:25 Pour moi, ayant reconnu qu'il n'a rien fait qui mérite la mort, et lui-même en ayant appelé à l'empereur, j'ai résolu de le faire partir.(FR) וַאֲנִי מָצָאתִי כִּי לֹא־מְאוּם עָשָׂה לְהוּמֹת עַל־כָּכָה וְהוּא גַּם־הוּא קָרָא אֶל־אֲגוּסְטוֹס עַל־כֵּן גָּמַרְתִּי לְשָׁלְחוֹ אֶל־הַקֵּיסָר׃ כה Acts Act 25:25 "But I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death; and since he himself appealed to the Emperor, I decided to send him. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.(KJV) Acts 25:26 Of whome I haue no certaine thing to write vnto my Lord: wherefore I haue brought him forth vnto you, and specially vnto thee, King Agrippa, that after examination had, I might haue somewhat to write.(Geneva) Actes 25:26 Je n'ai rien de certain à écrire à l'empereur sur son compte; c'est pourquoi je l'ai fait paraître devant vous, et surtout devant toi, roi Agrippa, afin de savoir qu'écrire, après qu'il aura été examiné.(FR) רַע לֹא־יָדַעְתִּי דְבָרִים בְּרֻרִים עַל־אֹדוֹתָיו לְכָתְבָם לַאדֹנִי וּבִגְלַל זֶה הֶעֱמַדְתִּיו לִפְנֵיכֶם וּבְיוֹתֵר לְפָנֶיךָ הַמֶּלֶךְ אַגְרִפַּס וְאַחֲרֵי הִבָּחֲנוֹ אֵדַע מָה אֶכְתֹּב׃ כו Acts Act 25:26 "Yet I have nothing definite about him to write to my lord. Therefore I have brought him before you all and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that after the investigation has taken place, I may have something to write. (nasb) ======= Acts 25:27 ============ Act 25:27 For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.(kjv) Acts 25:27 For me thinketh it vnreasonable to send a prisoner, and not to shewe the causes which are layde against him.(Geneva) Actes 25:27 Car il me semble absurde d'envoyer un prisonnier sans indiquer de quoi on l'accuse.(FR) כִּי לֹא־כָשֵׁר הַדָּבָר לִשְׁלֹחַ אִישׁ אָסוּר בְּחַבְלֵי חַטָּאתוֹ מִבְּלִי הוֹדַע מָה הִיא חַטָּאתוֹ אֲשֶׁר נֶאֱחָז בָּה׃ כז Acts Act 25:27 "For it seems absurd to me in sending a prisoner, not to indicate also the charges against him." (nasb) ======= Acts 26:1 ============ Act 26:1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:(KJV) Acts 26:1 Then Agrippa sayd vnto Paul, Thou art permitted to speake for thy selfe. So Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himselfe.(Geneva) Actes 26:1 Agrippa dit à Paul: Il t'est permis de parler pour ta défense.
