(nasb) ======= Acts 27:7 ============ Act 27:7 And when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;(KJV) Acts 27:7 And when we had sayled slowly many dayes, and scarce were come against Gnidum, because the winde suffered vs not, we sailed hard by Candie, neere to Salmone,(Geneva) Actes 27:7 Pendant plusieurs jours nous naviguâmes lentement, et ce ne fut pas sans difficulté que nous atteignîmes la hauteur de Cnide, où le vent ne nous permit pas d'aborder. (nasb) ======= Acts 27:21 ============ Act 27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.(KJV) Acts 27:21 But after long abstinece, Paul stood forth in the mids of them, and said, Syrs, ye should haue hearkened to me, and not haue loosed from Candie: so should ye haue gained this hurt and losse.(Geneva) Actes 27:21 On n'avait pas mangé depuis longtemps. Alors Paul, se tenant au milieu d'eux, leur dit: O hommes, il fallait m'écouter et ne pas partir de Crète, afin d'éviter ce péril et ce dommage.(FR) וּבַאֲשֶׁר מָנְעוּ כֻלָּם אֹכֶל מִפִּיהֶם וַיַּעֲמֹד פּוֹלוֹס בְּתוֹכָם וַיֹּאמַר אַתֶּם אֲנָשִׁים טוֹב הֱיִיתֶם עֹשִׂים אִם־לַעֲצָתִי שְׁמַעְתֶּם לִבְלִי־עֲזֹב אֶת־קְרֵיטִי כִּי אָז לֹא הִשִּׂיגָנוּ הַנֶּזֶק הַזֶּה׃ כא Acts Act 27:21 When they had gone a long time without food, then Paul stood up in their midst and said, "Men, you ought to have followed my advice and not to have set sail from Crete and incurred this damage and loss. (nasb) ======= Acts 27:22 ============ Act 27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.(KJV) Acts 27:22 But now I exhort you to be of good courage: for there shalbe no losse of any mans life among you, saue of the ship onely.(Geneva) Actes 27:22 Maintenant je vous exhorte à prendre courage; car aucun de vous ne périra, et il n'y aura de perte que celle du navire.(FR) וְעַתָּה אֲאַמִּצְכֶם בְּמוֹ־פִי לֹא תִתְמוֹגְגוּ וְלֹא תִמַּסּוּ כִּי גַם־נֶפֶשׁ אַחַת מִכֶּם כֻּלְּכֶם לֹא־תֹאבַד זוּלָתִי רַק הָאֳנִיָּה לְבַדָּהּ׃ כב Acts Act 27:22 "Yet now I urge you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. (nasb) ======= Acts 27:42 ============ Act 27:42 And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any of them should swim out, and escape.(KJV) Acts 27:42 Then the souldiers counsell was to kill the prisoners, least any of them, when he had swomme out, should flee away.(Geneva) Actes 27:42 Les soldats furent d'avis de tuer les prisonniers, de peur que quelqu'un d'eux ne s'échappât à la nage.(FR) וַיֹּאמְרוּ אַנְשֵׁי הַצָּבָא לַהֲרֹג אֶת־הָאַסִּירִים פֶּן־יִשְׂחוּ בַמַּיִם וְיִמָּלֵטוּ׃ מב Acts Act 27:42 The soldiers' plan was to kill the prisoners, so that none of them would swim away and escape; (nasb) ======= Acts 27:43 ============ Act 27:43 But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land:(KJV) Acts 27:43 But the Centurion willing to saue Paul, stayed them from this counsell, and commaunded that they that coulde swimme, shoulde cast them selues first into the sea, and goe out to land:(Geneva) Actes 27:43 Mais le centenier, qui voulait sauver Paul, les empêcha d'exécuter ce dessein. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.(kjv) Acts 27:44 And the other, some on boardes, and some on certaine pieces of the ship: and so it came to passe that they came all safe to land.(Geneva) Actes 27:44 et aux autres de se mettre sur des planches ou sur des débris du navire. And so it happened that they all were brought safely to land.
